Rodrigo Marçal Gandia has just been awarded in the category of best thesis project by the doctoral consortium gathered during the Brazilian national seminar SEMEAD 2019 held from 6 to 8 November 2019. This seminar is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Federal University of Sao Paulo (USP) and aims to promote the development of management sciences. SEMEAD is particularly committed to encouraging :
- Research through the presentation, discussion and dissemination of Brazilian work;
- Training of young management professionals.
Rodrigo's thesis is entitled "Innovation in Business Ecosystem Models: Mobility As A Service, Autonomous Vehicles and the Future Of Urban Mobility". It is being developed under the joint supervision of the Federal University of Lavras (Minas Gerais) and the Industrial Engineering Laboratory of CentraleSupelec under the direction of professors Joel Yutaka Sugano (UFLA/PPGA) and Isabelle Nicolaï (Univ Paris Saclay/CS/LGI).
The aim is to analyse the concept of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) to enable its implementation and acceptability within urban mobility practices. "The idea is to seek to understand the behavior of the Brazilian consumer, in order to 'tropicalize' international concepts and technologies that will impact the directions of urban mobility in Brazil," adds Rodrigo Gandia.
