Nicolas Minesi, doctoral student at the EM2C laboratory (CNRS, CentraleSupélec) has clinched the "Student Excellence Award" at the 73rd Gaseous Electronics Conference for his paper "The Ionization Mechanism of Thermal Sparks".
Nicolas was one of the 6 finalists for this award, and won first place at the end of his presentation. The work was carried out under the direction of professors Christophe Laux, Gabi Stancu (CentraleSupélec) and Axel Vincent (ONERA).
